The International Association of Career Coaches (IACC) has two core offerings that support the launch and continued success of your career coaching business. If you are participating in the Senior Professional Career Coach (SPCC)® or Senior Professional Résumé Writer (SPRW)™ program(s) you are invited to join our program’s free live graduation event. The SPCC® graduation is 3-days long, while the SPRW program is a day-long bootcamp. In both live events, you will learn how to launch your business and will leave with a business plan, marketing plan and even sales scripts to help you land your first client. If you would like to stay connected with Cara and other members of the IACC community, we also invite you to join the Path for Graduates. The Path for Graduates offers you business coaching from Cara, additional modules for continued learning, access to key tools and recruiter lists, a supportive community of non-competitive career coaches and more. Please note that the Path is for select graduates only and the association reserves the right to not grant membership to the Path should a student not demonstrate exceptional commitment to the IACC’s code of ethics during their participation in any other IACC programs.

Yes, the Senior Professional Career Coach (SPCC)® and Senior Professional Résumé Writer (SPRW)™ certifications are both built to give you practical takeaways that can be applied to your full-time job, mentorship engagements, or career coaching full or part-time. Our coaches help people find fulfilling work in positions in private sector, educational institutions and more, in a variety of roles ranging from operations to human resources. You can learn on your own schedule. Our program has been created for busy people, and is a hybrid of self-paced coursework and optional weekly meetings with the instructor and your cohort.

Yes. The SPCC certification is an International Coaching Federation-accredited career coaching course and counts towards your Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units. Proof of accreditation can be found here.

The International Association of Career Coaches offers two courses that are ideal for students interested in building the essential skills you’ll need to help people reach their career goals. Both are taught through on-demand and live virtual learning, and give you access to a community of other students taking the course alongside you. The Senior Professional Career Coach (SPCC) course is designed to give you the essential tools to help a client or mentee find career direction, write their résumé, update their LinkedIn, ace their interviews, and negotiate like a pro. It is a great option for those who want to make money as a résumé writer or coaches who want to make sure their clients’ résumés are the best in the pile, to help them land their first interview. Not at this time. Completion of the Senior Professional Career Coach® (SPCC®) certification is a pre-requisite for the attainment of the Master Professional Career Coach® (MPCC®) designation. The MPCC® designation is the IACC’s highest designation of excellence in both contributions to the profession, the IACC community and their ethical conduct as a career coach.

We strongly recommend that those interested in their Senior Professional Career Coach® (SPCC®) certification join the program with a post-secondary degree and several years of career experience, however, occasional exceptions will be made for exceptional qualifying field experience. Students may only apply for their Master Professional Career Coach® (MPCC®) certification upon completion of the SPCC® certification and MPCC® proof of experience requirements. There are no prerequisites for the Senior Professional Résumé Writer™ (SPRW™) certification, however, students may benefit from some post-secondary education and/or prior work experience.
